INSPIRATION/MOTIVATION

Hi, you are “face to face with Shell”.

Below is a short video about being others inspiration/motivation.  I made it whilst in Portugal and when I showed it to the girl I was referring to, she got quite emotional.  I think we all forget the impact that we have on each other.  She was an amazing person to be around and I am so glad that our paths crossed.  We are still in contact and I know that I have found in her, another great friend.

Please watch this video and read on:

You might never think this but you can be others motivation and an inspiration to them.  Others can and will take strength from you.  You may not think it at times but you are incredible.  Look how far you have come, even if you feel yesterday was a bad day, you still got through it, you found the strength, you are a survivor…HOW AWESOME ARE YOU?

Here are a couple of examples where this have been true for me:

A really great friend of mine, who is like a brother to me, was at a turning point in his life.  Years later, when he was talking to me about how he chose what to do next in his life, he said that he thought about me; he thought about how I had to “reinvent” myself after I was burned and how he took strength from that.  He had thought to himself; well, if Michelle can do it, so can I”.  I had never thought of myself that way and I thanked him for sharing his story with me.

Another friend (whom I had not seen for years, probably since school but we were keeping up with each other on social media) was going through a really tough time in her life; she had been diagnosed with something very challenging.  I would send her messages regularly, just to let her know that I was thinking of her and to give her encouragement.  She gave me a lovely message back, saying that she had a good role model in me.

This was great to hear from others because I think that we all can forget how amazing each of us actually are and how much of an impact we can have on each other.

I am going to add another short video in here; this time, it is how someone was an inspiration to me.  We went to Blackpool (which is a seaside town in England) for a few days for Hogmanay (this is what we call New Year’s Eve in Scotland) and we met this homeless girl.  We shared a meal and our stories.

Please have a watch of the video below and go further down, as there is a little bit more:
