BURN WARRIOR: LIVING WITH MS (PART 12)

Hi, you are “face to face with Shell”.

I’m continuing with my MS journey and want to talk to you about hanging in there when you are waiting for treatment.

Please have a look at the video below and read on:

I asked if I could pay for my MRI scan but have been told that here in Scotland that this is not possible, as the results may not be passed onto the NHS!  I honestly cannot understand this?  So, it’s just a waiting game.  I feel like I am kind of in limbo.

I’m also paying for an osteopath privately, which I know is not available here in Scotland on the NHS but I am also having to pay privately for physiotherapy, as I was discharged only after two appointments and only given one exercise from the NHS physiotherapist.

I know that I am very lucky here in the UK, in that we have a NHS, of which I used to work for nearly 30 years.

I’m trying to “keep the faith” and trust the process but it is hard when you are waiting for treatment that could help you.

It is hard but try and hang in there, in the hope you will be getting your treatment soon and every day that passes, instead of thinking it’s another day without treatment, think of it this way; it’s another day nearer to getting your treatment.

Stay safe, stay strong, and we’ll chat soon.
