autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Before Chris (my husband) and I went travelling, we would take holidays to Cornwall (for those of you outside of the UK, it is a county in England, at the southwestern tip) we totally love it down there, it is so beautiful.\u00a0 As it was a long way from where we stayed at the time in Central Scotland, we would take 3 weeks off work and take a road trip down, stopping off along the way.\u00a0 One stop-off we took was at Wookey Hole, which is a village in the county of Somerset.\u00a0 Wookey Hole caves have a legend of a &#8220;witch&#8221;.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We had a great two day stopover at Wookey Hole and took the tour of the caves; they were stunning.\u00a0 We signed up for the Wookey Hole newsletter as we were leaving.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We had a great holiday in Cornwall and on our return, I received an email that Wookey Hole was looking for a new witch.\u00a0 The position of The Witch of Wookey Hole was soon to become vacant and they were looking for a new one.\u00a0 The job would include entertaining guests at Wookey Hole.\u00a0 I decided that I wanted to apply.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1394\" style=\"width: 235px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1394\" class=\"wp-image-1394 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/facetofacewithshell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20131014_174055-e1563553487532-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/facetofacewithshell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20131014_174055-e1563553487532-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/facetofacewithshell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20131014_174055-e1563553487532-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/facetofacewithshell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20131014_174055-e1563553487532-624x832.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1394\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Application photo (2014).<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It was the same as any other job application; the only difference was that it was required that all applicants sent photographs of how they would come dressed to work.\u00a0 I just wore my own clothes and Chris and I had a photo shoot.\u00a0 I loved it!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Remembering my early experiences of employment, I thought it prudent to contact the Human Resources Department, to tell them that I had been burned and that my scars were visible, and was it worth me applying.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1391\" style=\"width: 235px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1391\" class=\"wp-image-1391 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/facetofacewithshell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20131014_173628-e1563553542388-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/facetofacewithshell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20131014_173628-e1563553542388-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/facetofacewithshell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20131014_173628-e1563553542388-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/facetofacewithshell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20131014_173628-e1563553542388-624x832.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1391\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">And one more (2014).<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The gentleman that I spoke to was brilliant.\u00a0 I explained my situation and he said:\u00a0 &#8220;Ok, no bulls**t, no, it would not affect your application at all&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">So, I sent everything off.\u00a0 Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the &#8220;audition\/interview&#8221;
